Video Game Preview: LEFT BEHIND: Eternal Forces
(Page 1 of 2)

Left Behind is a series of novels and a movie starring captain insano himself, Kirk Cameron, about the Rapture, and it is soon to be a video game by Left Behind Games.

The story is about how all faithful Christians are suddenly taken to heaven, leaving all non-pushy Christians on earth to face the Apocalypse. Meanwhile, the Antichrist takes over the UN and starts to bring all countries together, because international war is something the devil could never stand of course. A world united in peace is the one thing that righteous people in the US can never allow, and only heavily armed Christians left in New York City can stop the Antichrist and his evil plans to end war.

Finally, it's a low-res cinematic to a war video game.

Amazing game features (interpret that as you will) include:

In LEFT BEHIND: Eternal Forces, players will:

   * Conduct physical & spiritual warfare: using the power of prayer to
strengthen troops in combat and wield modern military weaponry
throughout the game world.
   * Recover ancient scriptures and witness spectacular Angelic and
Demonic activity as a direct consequence of your choices.
   * Command your forces through battles across a breathtaking,
authentic depiction of New York City.
   * Control more than 30 units types - from Prayer Warrior and
Hellraiser to Spies, Special Forces and Battle Tanks!
   * Enjoy a robust single player experience across dozens of New York
City maps in Story Mode - fighting in China Town, SoHo, Uptown and more!
   * Play multi-player games as Tribulation Forces or Global Community
Peacekeepers with up to eight players via LAN or over the internet!

All right! Prayer Warriors and Battle Tanks, working together at last! Of course, we all know that the ultimate battle between good and evil can only be waged between Satan's Steve Vai and Ralph Macchio's wah-wah peddle in a guitar duel to end all battles. But it's more fun to encourage children to think that mankind's bazookas and tanks are the only things that can save humanity from truly bad and harmful things.

And come on! Use prayers to God that help kill people! Spiritual warfare! LAN support!

Mordor, the Sith, the British, they're all sources of unspeakable evil.

The best part of the game so far looks to be the awesome units in the game. Click here for page two of the preview to see the breakdown. Of everything in general.
