An OCD patient's priorities are usually pretty obvious.
Actors sitting at the Oscar's are usually just as transparent.
The most interesting part of watching the Oscars was actually pointed out by
Chris Rock at the very beginning of the show.
Rock said that the only acting involved on Oscar night
is the look on actors' faces when they don't win.
Not only is that true,
but indeed the most interesting part of the Oscars is watching the
actor nominees who don't win.
Every actor gets the most elated, pleased look on his or her face
when it's revealed that someone beat them. It's as if every losing actor
has a thought bubble over their head reading, "I'm so glad I didn't win that!"
or "I didn't deserve to win; glad Hollywood realized that!" It's one thing
to be gracious and smile and applaud the winner, but it's another thing to
try and make us believe you're relieved that you got publicly humiliated
and upstaged in the only forum you want to prove yourself in.
Anyway, we'd like to announce that we're going to be making an online comic book.
Here's the cover:
It's the story of Simon, from his humble roots as a nobody living at home with his
parents, to his infinitely more humble career in the internet world.
We're going to give ourselves six months to make this comic book,
but that's sort of an arbitrary
goal. We'll keep you informed as it develops.
