However, the greater joke is the fact that this is the most adorable little joke possible that the country's 11-year-olds can come up with, and man, these two giddy little hobbits REVEL in it. When Monaghan starts calling Elijah Wood gay, Frodo can't take it. It's just too much for his sensors to handle. It's a reasonable reaction, to be sure.
