We traveled to the far corners of the continents to find you the best rock band on earth.
To be honest, we couldn't find the best band on earth... We found the best band on earth and hell and in space.
Who encompasses all of these? LORDI,
the band made up of demons and aliens.
Looking at each band member's profile, you start to understand where their level of awesomeness came from.
Take, for instance, their leader, Lordi himself, who describes himself as "Count nosferatu" in quotes and
a biomechanic man who's ALSO a fanged giant monster with glowing red eyes!
The man is even dressed in symbiotic armour, which is so much more awesome than armor that doesn't
participate in the circle of life.
The rest of the band multitasks just like the cyberundertaker khan who leads them. Kita is an orc from
outer space. He's also jaws of terror itself. To top all that, he's also who the f*ck is predator! Wow!
The extraterrestrial man-beast enjoys playing the drums and getting email when you click on his cute envelope icon.
But it takes more than fact files to get to know LORDI. Thankfully, a lot has been written about them, like the
fact that Kita has the combined strength of every beast known to man, and that they live the Monsteramerican dream.
But it's their music that truly allows you to snuggle up to the mummy and manipulative Valkyrie. We have to warn
you, though, that's it's not suitable for everyone. When listening, some audiences may need to be accompanied
by a parent or a download.
The band has
posted three videos to their site, like the angst-ridden "Would You Love a Monster?"
This song about shrug shows us the lead singer, in all his horrifying, dark, woods-stalking glory, fully costumed,
and unfortunately having to wear 10-inch platform heels in order to stand taller than the little girl he's singing to.
Finland is home to the Monsteramerican dream. As it would be. LORDI.
